Giving Tuesday - Support FOBH

On Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025, Friends of Belmar Harbor is launching a special Giving Tuesday GoFundMe campaign to protect, grow, and share one of Belmar’s greatest treasures: our Shark River waterfront.

For more than a decade, Friends of Belmar Harbor (FOBH) has been offering access to children discovering the bay for the first time, teens learning to sail and lead, adults finding peace on the water, and families creating summer memories that last a lifetime. From Discovery Camp to community sailing programs and environmental education, FOBH has become a place where kids gain confidence, neighbors connect, and the water feels welcoming rather than out of reach.

But keeping sailing inclusive and access takes more than wind and tides.

Your Giving Tuesday gift will help us:

Provide scholarships so no child is turned away from camp or sailing because of cost

Maintain and upgrade boats, safety gear, and docks so every program is safe and reliable

Expand environmental education, teaching the next generation to care for the Shark River and our coastal ecosystem

Grow community programs that welcome new families to the water and strengthen Belmar’s coastal culture
