Summer Sailing Camp
and Discovery Programs

Registration for 2024 summer programs start in March

We offer week-long programs throughout the summer for 8 to 16 year‐olds.  Join us for one week or the whole summer long.  Students can learn to sail or build on their past knowledge.  We have programs at all levels, from beginning sailing through advanced racing.  Classes are from 9am -3pm on weekdays starting July 1, and running through August 30.

Not yet ready to sail?  How about splashing around and getting to know our inlet through the Discovery Program (ages 7-11) where students start in human-powered watercraft and learn a bit about the body of water we live near.  Often they are passengers on the larger sailboats -- which is a great way to whet the appetite for future sail programs.

Membership is not required to attend our educational programs.

Science

Discovery Camp (Ages 7-11)

The Shark River Discovery Program seeks to provide an opportunity for community youths to experience the different wonders of the Shark River. The program combines recreational sailing and kayaking excursions with environmental education and more. Campers can get a feel for the sport of sailing, without the pressure of an instructional program. We will learn about the beautiful Shark River, the different ways we interact with it, and what we can do to keep it enjoyable for everybody.
