Boy Scouts

Friends of Belmar Harbor wants to help you get your Small Boat Sailing Merit Badge!

We have years of experience with the Small Boat Sailing Merit Badge Program. Our program is extremely flexible; let us accomodate your Troop this summer!

  • We can accomodate groups of up to 16 scouts at at time, or individually (using the buddy system of course!).
  • Camping is available on premises (advanced notice required, camping not required to earn the badge)
  • Plenty of affordable local eateries within walking distance (or bring your own food)
  • Courteous, professionally trained and certified staff
  • No previous knowledge of sailing or boating required
  • We can teach and check off blue cards for all or part of the Merit Badge Requirements
  • Merit Badge Counselors available for instruction weekdays, after school, evenings, weekends, anytime!
  • Group Rate (4 or more scouts): $125 per scout
  • Individual Rate: $150 per scout
  • We have time slots available now!  Call today to reserve your spot today!

Heres an example Scout Camp we have done with one Troop:

  • Arrive Sunday evening
    • Set up camp
    • Ground School
  • Monday
    • Swimming Test
    • On the Water Instruction
    • Lunch
    • On the Water Instruction
    • Ground School
  • Tuesday and Wednesday
    • Same schedule
  • Thursday
    • Graduation Sail to Memorial Park
    • Parents and Chaperones meet the scouts there with lunch
    • Pack up and head home
  • Friday
    • Rain Date (in case of bad weather)

We can use this model, or create one specifically for your scouts.  Three day in a row? Consecutive weekend?  You name, we make it happen!
