The use of Club Boats is a privilege. You are responsible for all damages caused by negligence or failure to follow “Use and Care” instructions, and may also result in being denied future use of boats. The following ”Use and Care” instructions shall be followed while the boat is in your possession:

Use of Boats for Away Regatta:

For the use of a boat, the instructor who will attend the event will issue a checkout sheet. The same instructor upon return will sign back in boats. The supply of boats is limited and to request the use of boats for the local event, please sign up 2 weeks in advance. Boats are provided on a first come first served basis, and we cannot guarantee boats will always be available. You should confirm the dates and times with the instructor.  Click Here to print the Opti FOBH Release & Waiver Form

1.) Boats shall be placed properly in or on vehicle. Boats placed in or on vehicle should be protected from damage by blankets or pads. Boats placed on vehicles shall be secured with proper straps or ties. Avoid use of “bungee cords” or rubber straps as means of securing boats.
2.) When reaching event, the boat shall be transported by dolly. At no time shall any boat be placed upon any hard surface such as blacktop or stones.
3.) Prior to transport, ensure all air bags are inflated; mainsheet, bowline and bailers are securely tied inside boat.
4.) Boats, sails and blades are to be returned in the same condition that they were received from the club.
5.) Prior to returning to land, remove centerboard and rudder to prevent damage from beaches and docks.
6.) Rinse boats and accessories with fresh water prior to returning.
7.) Sails and spars should be clean and properly folded and transported in sail bag. The sails are delicate and walking on them should be avoided along with the contact of sharp objects.
